GoDaddy domain mapping with Blogger website is a very important topic . In this Information Age Everyone wants to share various information based on their experience . But to share this information everyone needs to create a website on which they can share their experience . Fortunately there are some Content Management System (CMS) in the market like – Blogger , WordPress , Wix etc , which helps us to create some stunning websites . If we create website using this CMS then we can built our website within one day and we can focus on our content very easily .
In this Article First , we will create a basic website using Blogger and then we will map GoDaddy domain with the Blogger website . Don’t worry I will write this article believing that you never use blogger.com .
Creating a Blogger website
Following is the step by step procedure to create a Blogger website –
1 . To create a Blogger website first go to this link and you will see the below page –
2 . Click on “CREATE YOUR BLOG” button and login through your Google account . After that a pop-up window will appear and you need to type your website Title there . I am simply typing my name in the title section without space . But you can give space in your website title .
3 . After clicking on the “NEXT” button another pop-up window will apear . There you need to type your website URL . After typing the URL Blogger will show you if the URL is available or not . If Blogger show you that the URL is not available then you need to change your URL . After changing the URL if Blogger show you that your URL is available then click on the “SAVE” button .
4 . After that a new pop-up window will appear and there you need to type your Display name which will be shown to your website user . After that you need to click “FINISH” and you blogger website will be created .
5 . If you already have a Blogger account and you want to create a new Blogger website then just click on the Dropdown button below Blogger Logo .
6. After clicking on the Dropdown button a Dropdown menu will appear and you need to click on “New Blog…” .
7 . After that 2 number and 3 number step will appear . After completing these steps your new blogger website will be created . Now you can access your website using the URL you created . In my case URL is rajkumarbhattacharya.blogspot.com .
GoDaddy domain mapping with Blogger website
Now we will map GoDaddy domain with this website . Step by step procedure is following –
1 . To set up custom domain with this website first we will click on “Settings” .
2 . After that scroll the Settings page and in the “Publishing” section you will find “Custom domain” button . Now you need to click on “Custom domain” button .
3 . After that a pop-up window will appear and there you need to type your custom domain name adding “www.” in front of your domain name bought from GoDaddy .
4 . After that click on the “SAVE” button . After clicking on the “SAVE” button you will see following error .
5 . Now you need to go to your GoDaddy account and you need to add the above 2 CNAMEs(on the error) in your domain’s DNS . In my case the two CNAMEs are –

6. If you already bought a new domain name from GoDaddy then first go to GoDaddy’s product page , then click on “Three vertical dot” button beside your domain name and then click on “Manage DNS” .
7. By default your DNS records should look like this –
8. Now you need to edit your 2 CNAMEs record . For this you need to click on “edit” button beside your CNAME record .
9. Now you need to edit your first CNAME record and click on the “SAVE” button .
10. Now you need to edit your second CNAME record and click on the “SAVE” button .
11. Now you need to add some A record whose IPs are – 216.239.32.21 , 216.239.34.21 , 216.239.36.21 and 216.239.38.21 .
In my GoDaddy records there is already one A record , so I will edit that A record and after that I will add 3 new A record . To edit the A record just click on the “Edit” button .
12. Now in the “Points to” box you need to add one IP address and click on “Save” button .
13. After that click on “ADD” button to add other A records .
14. From “Type” dropdown select “A” .
15. In the “Host” box add “@” and in the “Points to” box add one IP address .
16. After adding all the A records your DNS Records should look like this –
17. Now your settings is done . Now you need to repeat 1 ,2 ,3 steps again and you will see your domain is added in blogger Customer domain .
18. Now you need to on “Redirect domain” , “HTTPS availability” and “HTTPS redirect” .
19. You can’t access your blogger website from your custom domain name until HTTPS is available .
20. After sometime you can see your HTTPS status is available .
21. Now you can access your blogger website from your custom domain name .
